I want to ask the doctor, true or not if chewed drugs can reduce drug reactions. explanation please thank you

    Good evening, Mr. Muhammad

For this question, it's not true and it's not false. Some drugs will be good action when it is in your intestine, after your stomach digestion. So, it is better to not chew before swallowing such as anti-histamine pill, ferrous sulfate tablet. On the other hand, you must to chew drug for effectiveness e.g. aspirin (using for chest pain in heart disease), chewable against flatulence drug. Anyway please read label or ask pharmacist before eating for suitable for you.

    Wish to be useful.

Okay thanks for doctors already answered my question. but I want to ask again, if the medication for mental disorders (schizophrenia) may or may not if chewed? because a lot of sources that say if a drug for schizophrenia should not be chewed, how do you respond on this matter. thanks.

There are a lot of medicine for schizophrenia patient. Many generations of these were developed but same principle which is proper for taking and make good effectiveness or less harm. Some can be chewable but another should be disintrigated. The way to take depends on medicine type and the reason. The best for everyone is reading a label or ask doctor/pharmacist before
